Exporting the translation as a file

How to translate a book in AuthorCat · 2:38 · starts at this section, 2:10

The finished translation downloads as a single file — with the chapters and with the original’s italics and bold.

  1. Open “Export”. At the top you see how many chapters are accepted, how many are drafts and how many are not translated yet.
  2. In the “File format” block, choose docx, epub, fb2, md or txt. Italics and bold are kept in every format except txt.
  3. In the “Chapters you have not accepted yet” block, choose “Leave out” or “Include the draft with a note”. Chapters marked “Do not translate” and “Bibliography” go in as in the original.
  4. If you like, fill in the “File name” field — when it is empty, the file is named after the translation — and click Download file.
